Founded in 1953, Cima Impianti celebrates its sixtieth year in business in 2013. An anniversary that will be marked at Autopromotec 2013, the international biennial exhibition of automotive equipmentandaftermarket products being held in Bologna from the 22nd to the 26th of May. The company was initially established as a manufacturer of moulds for tyre retreading, but the introduction of tyres with radial carcass in the 1970s led Cima Impianti to develop and produce its first Radial Pneus presses, thus triggering a process of growth that led it to become one of the most important suppliers of turn-key plants in its sector, operating on all the main international markets. In the 1990s, it created its first press for the production of new tyres, for which it received recognition under the EC's Life programme.
Over the past ten years, Cima Impianti has been concentrating on the ongoing refinement and development of its products, often anticipating market trends and new regulations. The offices and production departments of this company, which also operates in sectors other than tyre retreading, are spread over a surface area of around 6000 square metres. Furthermore, some of its major subcontractors also work on this site, in separate buildings.
