As part of a recent expansion of its production area, Green Box will build a new and modern plant for end-of-line testing of refrigerators, temperature regulators, pump units and free-coolers. Work should begin this July and the plant should be up and running at the beginning of 2015.
The project provides a centralized hydraulic system supplying the two temperature-controlled rooms for testing refrigerators - one for single- and dual-compressor chillers with power up to 250 kW, the other for multi-scroll chillers and screws up to 900 kW - and a test booth for temperature regulators. Thanks to a system for recovering the heat of condensation, the chillers being tested are able on their own to generate the thermal load for the evaporator without consuming additional energy.
These facilities will make it possible to test machines under design conditions and different operating conditions (range, set point) and at the equivalent room temperature of the place of installation. Furthermore, the company's customers can perform performance checks directly in loco.
