The president of PlasticsEurope, Patrick Thomas, CEO for Covestro, will be joined by Daniele Ferrari (left, in the photo) and Javier Constante, newly appointed as vice presidents of the European Association of Plastics Manufacturers. With over 25 years of experience in the chemical industry, Ferrari has held positions in various companies. He held several positions within Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) Intermediates and Fluorocarbons in the UK, and Polyurethane in Brussels. He has also served in the capacity of CEO for Huntsman Surface Science Italia and president of Huntsman Performance Products in Houston, Texas. Under his leadership, in 2012, Versalis has started a strategic move through the repositioning of its asset base, the portfolio refocusing on higher value-added products and a strengthening exposure to global markets.
