The “national champions” have been selected for the first stage of the eighth European Business Awards: the Italian companies selected include Amut, the Novara-based manufacturer of extrusion, thermoforming and recycling plants. Along with seventy companies from Italy and over 700 European companies operating in various industries, Amut was selected by a panel of independent judges, composed of businessmen and academics, from a total of 24,000 candidates from 33 countries.

"Every year the awards programme gets more and more competitive as the number of participant countries and companies grows, representing more industrial sectors. The “national champions” have demonstrated their excellence in their respective fields and we hope that they will give the best of themselves in the next stage of the competition, too", remarked Jean Stephens, CEO of RSM International, the main sponsor of the event. RSM International is an international network which includes consultancy and auditing companies from 111 countries.

The companies selected for the second stage will have to make a video about their own history and successes. On this basis, the judges will choose those worthy of receiving the "Ruban d'honneur", which will allow them to take part in the final stage of the competition, scheduled for 2015.
