At the K 2016 exhibition, Negri Bossi started the celebration of its 70th anniversary in the production of injection moulding machines, introducing new ideas and innovations that will shape its future. A testament to the longevity of the company was the predecessor model NB28 built in 1947.
On the occasion of the K, the new generation of all-electric press Ele was unveiled by the company based in Cologno Monzese (near Milan, Italy); the machine was integrated into a complete IML application with fast labeling by means of a side entry robot. The machine is equipped with a “smartflex 2” clamping unit with a new toggle geometry. The range will be available in 8 models varying from 50 to 350 tons with injection configuration available up to 24 models.
The company also presented the concept X, equipped with both hydraulic and electric drive, including a newly designed toggle geometry, a new type of plasticizing unit and a new hydraulic plant; all of these technologies will be managed by a new control interface with “gesture navigation mode” that will be applied into the future models of Negri Bossi machines.
