A leading manufacturer of injection moulds, Gefit celebrates its fiftieth year in the business in 2017 with the development of  three multi-cavity injection moulds for the production of PET blood tubes that will be working on three Engel e-motion all-electric injection moulding machines. This partnership and the “technical cooperation” between the two companies will lead to the development of a complete system tested before the final delivery to the end customer.

The PET blood tubes market is constantly growing worldwide: the transition from glass to plastics, which brings advantages in terms of costs and transport, requires high quality equipment for the production process.

The moulds, all with 48 cavities, will be tested at Gefit’s works in Fubine (near Alessandria) and at Engel’s headquarters in Schwertberg before being delivered to the customers. Obviously all moulds will work in clean rooms, two in Europe and one in Asia.
