Double open house for two companies in the Syncro group. On May 24, Plasmac opened its doors at its Aylesbury site, near London, to present on its most recent plants for recycling plastic materials. In particular, it showcased a machine in the Alpha series and three models in the Omega range - the 250, 340 and the ECO - all based on patented SST technology (Short Screw Technology).

The technological characteristics that group the two series include reduced energy consumption and elevated production capacity per installed kW, which reduce the plant management costs and shorten return on investment (ROI) times. The features the machines have in common include reduced cutting speed, minimal processing times, and low polymer degradation, enabling them to recycle practically any material and produce quality pellets. The Alpha and Omega plants are also compact, meaning they take up less room in the production department.

In the UK, the following Syncro machines were also on show:

- Mybatch S4 gravimetric blender;

- Rayxscan 1600, Skymex 1900 (mounted on platform Easyroto 18) and Combyscan 1100 metering systems;

- MBK Smart-1900 bubble cage;

- Flyer y2 450 automatic ring;

- conveyor system from big-bag to silo;

- Syntrol basic 7.2 and 10.1 inch monitoring system.

A number of speakers presented over the course of the day: for Plasmac, managing director Simon Jay and technical director Creighton Varney gave presentations, while CEO Gabriele Caccia and sales manager Diego DellAnna spoke on behalf of the Syncro Group.

Moreover, Miriam Olivi, sales director for Frigosystem, demonstrated the chillers installed by the company on the Plasmac recycling lines.

On 29 and 30 May, CST will open the doors to its facility in Busto Arsizio, near Varese (Italy), to present is latest developments in the field of management and process control systems. For this occasion, too, many solutions will be on show, including:

- various models in the C-Multy series of modular feed systems and continuous multicomponent and gravimetric systems for twin screw extruders;

- a metering system for powder products;

- various models in the C-One series loss-in-weight gravimetric meter systems for twin screw extrusion;

- C-view 4.0 Explorer monitoring system.
