October 4 saw the inauguration, in Fredericksburg, Virginia (USA), of the new headquarters of Una-Dyn, a company of the Piovan Group. The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended president and CEO Nicola Piovan, together with guests coming not only from the United States, but also from Canada and Mexico. The ceremony was followed by a tour of the new facility, during which there were several live demonstrations of new technologies.
Una-Dyn completed the move from its old plant in Woodbridge to this new 10,000 square metre site last July. The site also serves as Piovan’s new North American headquarters. Designed to support lean manufacturing practices, the new plant is devoted to the production of storage, transport, blending, drying and size reduction equipment, as well as supervision software, and it will allow Una-Dyn to double its production capacity.
In the meantime, after having obtained, on October 3, from Borsa Italiana the approval for the listing of its ordinary shares on the Milan Stock Exchange (Piazza Affari), Piovan has also received from Consob the approval of its prospectus for the admission to trading of the shares themselves on the Milan Stock Exchange and on the Star list, conditions permitting. The placement began on October 5 and is expected to end on October 17, so that trading can start on October 19. The shares included in the offering total 18.76 million, corresponding to 35% of the company capital. The shareholder selling the shares, Pentafin, has been granted a greenshoe option for the purchase, at the offer price, of up to a further 2.8 million shares, corresponding to 15% of those included in the placement.
