Solvin launched the fourth edition of the PVC Innovation Award, aiming at promoting the image of PVC as an innovative product that contributes positively to the welfare of the whole society. This initiative addresses to processing industries, additives producers, machinery manufacturers, end users, service providers, media related activities, academic institutions, designers and students, who shall send their application to the headquarters in Belgium within April 30, 2010. The participation is open for all those projects that satisfy the following combined criteria: contributing to the positive image of PVC, improving existing products, leading to an application that exists or could be developed on the European market, being under development or available on the market from 1st January 2008. An independent Jury will select the finalist in September and elect the 5 winners, awarding three prizes (the first is worth 50,000 euro) to the most innovative projects and two special prizes of 7,500 euro for recycling and design respectively. The ceremony is planned on October 28, 2010 during K fair (Düsseldorf October 27-November 3).
