A RS 3000 rotational moulding machine with 5 stations and 4 independent arms developed by the American company Ferry Industries has been installed for demonstration and trials at Persico facility in Nembro (Italy). According to an agreement signed by the two companies almost a year ago the Leonardo machines manufactured by the Italian company are being sold in North America by Ferry Industries whose Rotospeed machines are being sold in Europe by Persico.
Each arm, which can work with more than one heating, cooling, and loading and unloading station, rotates around a common pin indexed with respect to the arm itself. The plant can be purchased equipped with a single arm but 3 further arms can be added later on without modifying the machine configuration. Even a second oven or cooling station can be added subsequently.
