A new GAP plant for extrusion of 5-layer bi-oriented shrink film using dual-bubble technology is being started up at the factory of a leading North European processor. The dual-bubble technology enables the production of film in widths of 300 to 3,000 mm and with structure ranging from 1 to 11 layers. The plant includes the latest innovations developed by the company.
Through sensors, the EOS (Easy Orientation System) monitors production parameters and adjusts them automatically when they diverge from preset values. The TBS (Thermal Brush System) monitors film thickness in real time while active differential heating elements control profile conditions. The no-contact system prevents films defects and keeps production rates high.
