Icma San Giorgio, headquartered in San Giorgio su Legnano (Milan), introduced two new items at PLAST 2012. One is a power-enhanced version of the HT Plus corotating twin-screw extruder, designed to provide extra torque, as well as up to 15% lower reduced energy consumption compared to the standard version. The advantage of this extruder is improved quality and productivity, particularly with formulations requiring high specific energy.
The second innovation is the HT corotating twin-screw extruder equipped with two side feeders, designed to process materials such as PP and PE filled with up to 70% calcium carbonate or titanium dioxide, or PP or PA reinforced with up to 50% glass fibre or talc.
