A 220-ton Janus hybrid injection moulding machine is exhibited in operation by Negri Bossi at Interplastica 2013 (Moscow, January 29 - February 1). Equipped with a Sytrama 811 side-entry robot, the machine makes disposable polystyrene cups in a four cavity mould with In-Mould-Labelling (IML) technology.
The performance demanded in producing thin-walled articles by injection moulding at high speeds is provided by accumulators: the superimposition of movements typical of hybrid presses makes for significantly shorter cycle times. And considerable energy savings are also achieved by the use of inverters.
