Through its local branch, the Softer Group will distribute the engineering polymers of Invista's Torzen range, based on polyamide 6.6, in Mexico. The two companies announced their collaboration agreement at Plastimagen, taking place in Mexico City on March 12-15. In addition to distributing Torzen products, the Italian company (headquartered in Forlì) produces and markets a wide range of thermoplastic elastomers in Mexico. The range was recently expanded with the introduction of rigid compounds based on polypropylene and polyamide 6 for the automotive and home appliance industry.
Located in the industrial park of Guanajato Puerto Interior, one of Latin America's most advanced industrial districts, Softer Messico occupies a surface of 13 thousand square metres and employs some 70 workers. "We are very happy to have Invista in our portfolio. Thanks to the Torzen polyamide 6.6 range and other self-produced engineered polymers, we are able to offer Mexican industry a diversified package of solutions and services," states Riccardo Meucci, sales director of Softer.
