On Thursday 13 and Friday 14 February from 9 am to 6 pm, Negri Bossi is opening the doors to its Cologno Monzese facility, near Milan, to present, in collaboration with Guzzini Engineering, what the two companies call a new way to mould. The two days will be dedicated, in particular but not only, to liquid silicone rubber (LSR), providing a concrete demonstration of how to produce a gadget - a three colour Italian flag - using a single-cavity mould into which three different coloured silicones (if necessary, with different characteristics) are injected without mechanical separation.
The demonstration will involve 7 cells in operation: 3 will process LSR and 4 other thermoplastic materials, while another ten between 50 to 1500 tons machines will operate in dry cycle. The new S7 robot by Sytrama will also be installed on a LSR moulding machine.
