The sixth edition of Plastics & Rubber Vietnam, exhibition for the plastics and rubber sector placed in Vietnam, organized by Singapore Exhibition Services in cooperation with Messe Düsseldorf Asia, takes place from March 1 to 3 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in Ho Chi Minh City. Assocomaplast is attending the trade show with an institutional booth shared with ICE and Ucima, placed in the Hall 1A, booth K10. Stefania Arioli, representative of the Italian association, is at the booth to assist Italian exhibitors and receive local operators, providing some information of the industry and some leaflets, such as members’ lists, MacPlas International magazine and to promote the next edition of Plast 2018 (Milan, May 29-June 1, 2018), that will take place within the new initiative named “The Innovation Alliance”.
The event is supported by Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and some trade associations such as: Vietnam Plastics Association, Vietnam Packaging Association and Rubber Plastic Manufacturer Association. As Vietnam’s most international and leading trade fair for plastics and rubber manufacturing technologies, the event continues its successful staging in 2016 with a comprehensive display of global technologies and equipment, plastics and rubber products (semi-finished products and technical parts) as well as production materials and services for the industry in Vietnam and the region. The 2016 edition welcomes international group participations from Austria (the largest group pavilion), China, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Korea, Singapore and the United Kingdom, making this plastics and rubber technology exhibition the most international of its kind in Vietnam and Indochina.
The plastic manufacturing industry is one of the fastest growing industries in Vietnam, sustaining average annual growth of 20% to 25%. According to Vietnam Plastic Association, Vietnam’s export turnover of plastic products reached 4.2 billion dollars in the first 6 months of 2015, increased 10.3% compared to the last year. Under the successful Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) the government has just signed with other 11 countries, the growth rate is expected to expand more sharply in the upcoming years.
The last edition of Plastics & Rubber Vietnam in 2014 attracted more than 7000 trade visitors from Vietnam and the surrounding region. A total of 152 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions participated to join hands bringing the latest technologies, equipment and services from the world to Vietnam. This year, Plastics & Rubber Vietnam 2016 is incorporated with Propak Vietnam 2016, the eleventh international processing and packaging exhibition and conference for Vietnam, to provide the full marketplace for the industry leaders.
