Part of the Italian IMS Deltamatic Group, Turra develops and manufactures high-quality, innovative vertical injection presses for plastic components. This year, Turra will present its customized solutions to industry professionals at the world’s leading trade fair for plastics and rubber K in Düsseldorf. Its machines are used in the production of tools and parts for a variety of industries, among others health, pharmacy, automotive and electric. Turra offers customers with specific and demanding requirements customized solutions to help them make their production processes faster, more efficient and environment-friendly.
At its booth, Turra will operate the ST-80 and RT-60, two of their innovative vertical injection presses. The ST series comprises four column vertical injection presses and sliding tables with 60, 80 or 120 tons closing capacity. The sliding table, offering angular movement and two semi-molds, guarantees highest productivity and a simplified loading process. Simultaneously to the injection phase, the operator can unload the finished parts and load the inserts to be overmoulded. If only little productivity is required, only one semi-mold can be used. At their booth, TURRA will exhibit the ST-80 with 50 mm plasticizing cylinders for 376 cm³ actual volume with 200 mm stroke and with 1142 kg/cm² maximum pressure. The maximum size of the mold base is 405 x 450 mm.
The second vertical injection press that industry professionals will be able to experience at Turra’s booth, is the RT-60. The RT series is a four column vertical injection press featuring a rotary table with 60, 80 or 120 tons closing capacity. Depending on the application, different working stations ranging from 2 to 4 or even more as well as a rotary table with electric movement are available for this type of machine. The RT series is especially suitable for automated integrations with different technologies, such as Cartesian axes, Scara or anthropomorphic robots, depending on the application. The RT-60 presented at K 2016 is equipped with 45 mm plasticizing cylinders giving 259 cm³ actual volume with 170 mm stroke and with 994 kg/cm² maximum pressure. The maximum size of the base for the three mold version is 350 x 350 mm.
Both vertical injection presses exhibited at K 2016 realize energy savings of about 40% thanks to a pump motor controlled by an inverter and the energy saving barrel insulation on the plasticizing cylinders. With the touch control panel, machine parameters of both machine series can be changed easily and ergonomically, alarms can be controlled and statistic data on productivity can be displayed thus increasing the efficiency and efficacy of the production process.
