Ultrathin stretch film

Developed by Dolci Extrusion for the extrusion of ultrathin (7-17 micron) stretch film with a width of one metre, the new FCL-HS cast line is equipped with a winder capable of reaching a speed of 700 m/s. The winder features a device for controlling tangential pressure and the "Bleed Trim" system for producing perfectly wound (and therefore aesthetically attractive) reels. This is a fundamental feature in modern extrusion lines to meet the increasing demand for ultrathin stretch film, which can now be obtained also thanks to today's high-performance resins.
The abovementioned line is based on a central extruder and two side extruders with diameters of 130 and 55 mm respectively, which allow a 85-kg/h gross output. Given this contained output, trims can be recovered using a "fluff" forced-feeder without side extruder, which instead is required with higher outputs. The chill-roll has a diameter of 1000 mm.
