Interpack 2011

The next edition of Interpack will take place on May 12-18, 2011 in Düsseldorf – Germany. It is the world's most important trade fair for the packaging sector and related processing industries where about 2,700 exhibitors from roughly 60 countries are expected.
Among the exhibitors we will also find some private bodies and consultancy companies that provide necessary services for the plastics & rubber industry. We mention for example Istituto Italiano Imballaggio (Italian Packaging Institute - Hall EN.1/12) that provides information and training for producers and users of packaging in Italy. Furthermore, it is remarkable the booth devoted to "Wheylayer", the European project (hosted by Iris - Hall ENB/08) that solves multiple environmental challenges: leading to a valid commercial use for currently discarded whey protein, replacing pertroleum based plastics with a natural by-product while safeguarding the performance and enhancing the recyclability of multilayer films, thus adding huge value for the European packaging and food industries.
