The sandless beach mat

At last, a beach mat that can't be covered with sand. Developed for military applications to control sand and dust during helicopter take-off and landing, the mat is made of two layers of patented woven polyurethane that instantly allow any sand falling upon them to filter through to the beach. The specially woven polyurethane acts as a one-way filter to prevent sand from passing through from below. It also eliminates dirt, dust, and water from its surface, ensuring a perpetually clean outdoor surface for camping or watching a concert. Made of rip-stop polyurethane, it resists abrasions from outdoor furniture or pets, the bound edges remain flat, and the mat won't absorb moisture, preventing mould and mildew. The mat can also be staked down using metal D-rings at each corner. This new version of mat has been developed by Hammacher Schlemmer.
