Lateral injection

A new type of lateral-injection nozzle for multi-cavity moulds has been introduced by Thermoplay for the production of tubular articles (with a high length-to-diameter ratio) such as cylinders and plungers for syringes, pipettes, cuvettes, etc. This nozzle makes it possible to eliminate the "tunnel" sprues typical of these applications because the injection occurs directly at the annular cavity wall. The nozzle structure allows easy machining of the injection system housing in the mould and is provided with double plastic sealing ring.
