Diesel and biodiesel lines

Hutchinson Srl of Rivoli (Turin, Italy), supplier of fluid transport systems, uses a polyamide produced by DuPont to produce single-layer extruded fuel lines for diesel or biodiesel engines.
The material (Zytel RS, based on PA 1010) is characterized by a long-chain molecule from renewable resources and was thus preferred to other types of PA 12. Additionally, it features better long-term resistance to temperature and aging in biodiesel engines.
Hutchinson fuel lines are used in the first and second generation JTD engines installed in a number of FIAT cars, including the new Fiat 500, the Lancia Delta, the Alfa Romeo Mito and Giulietta, and others.
