Automatic profiles granulation

Tria has developed an automatic system for grinding and depowdering window profiles made up of PA 6.6 and filled with glass fibre (up to 25%), either gathered in bundles of 7 mt bars or as loose pieces with 20 x 40 mm maximum section. This plant, sold to an Italian customer, can limit the abrasive wear caused by glass filled material and produce a dust-free regrind material suitable for re-extrusion. Reduced environmental impact and easy use are the main features of the plant, which is composed by: tilt feeding conveyor belt to load bundles of 80 profiles max. at 1,2 mt high from floor, direct feed into the granulator cutting chamber, vacuum transport system to avoid dust in the production area and air separation system. The dust quantity into the regrind material results lower than 5%. Among the main features of the plant, it is worth pointing out that all parts in contact with the material are manufactured in antiwear steel. Finally, level controls warn when the dust collection boxes need to be replaced.
