Advanced solutions, not just equipment

As well as designing a large range of standard products, Plastic Systems also sets great store by its research and development activity, which sees 25 engineers with different specialisations involved in the design of special   systems for leading processors in different fields. The company also closely monitors new trends on the international market, so as to guarantee high performance levels, low consumption and maximum reliability.
Matrix is a centralised feeding system that allows centralised loading of up to 100 injection moulding machines. It is fully automatic and equipped with automatic control units that make it possible to combine different materials from the storage containers and convey them to the machines without any operator intervention. As a result, more structured companies are increasingly requesting turnkey systems that include: modular storage container systems in aluminium combined with push-type loading systems, and Matrix microprocessor-controlled centralised feeding systems that, together with the sorting units and a range of vacuum units, can support a maximum of 100 loading stations, with capacities of up to 15000 kg/h.
Depending on the application sector, Plastic Systems also offers three different series of dryers: its DAC compressed air dryers with molecular sieves, suitable for small production batches (electronics sector); its DWC dryers featuring a rotor and hoppers on the loading cells. These dryers, for medium-size production runs (for the electronics, automotive and medical sectors), are among the most important innovations to have been unveiled on the market in recent years; its D series dryers featuring molecular sieves and the "twin tower" system, a technology that Plastic Systems has been using for years, boasting 5000 installations in the PET sector, for the production of preforms, and in the extrusion sector, for setting up centralised drying systems for large production runs. All the drying systems feature modulating valves and inverters, to obtain energy savings of up to 70% compared with traditional machines. Gravimetric blenders (batch or loss-in-weight type), together with pelletisers complete the company's primary product range.
As indicated by its slogan "Advanced solutions not just equipment", this company does not wish to restrict itself to supplying single machines, but wants, rather, to offer advanced solutions. The new smart system Matrix & Mes Control communicates with the clients' injection moulding machines, measuring their efficiency and interacting with the company's ERP system. The machines are connected with the Matrix control server via a serial line and their functions are monitored by means of modern technological devices. Thanks to the WRD (Web Remote Diagnostic) system, remote assistance is provided for all the systems installed, thereby ensuring an excellent after-sales service.
