The recent Utech Europe exhibition and conference held in Maastricht, the Netherlands, from 23 to 25 April, has confirmed its reputation as the leading global event for the polyurethanes industry by attracting more exhibitors and visitors than ever before in its 40-year history. The total number of attendees over the three days of the event was a record 10,366 from 93 different countries, with over 220 exhibiting organisations taking part.
“I am delighted that Utech Europe celebrated its fortieth anniversary by attracting more exhibitors and visitors than ever before,” said Matt Barber, Global Events Director at Crain Communications. “You could feel the energy and enthusiasm for the polyurethane industry’s premier global event everywhere across the show floor and conference theatres. We look forward to carrying Utech Europe’s success forward to the busy schedule of Utech events for the remainder of this year in China, the Middle East, Singapore and India.”
“Sustainability was the overriding theme of the exhibition and conference,” said Chris Taylor, Vice President and General Manager, Global Polymer Group, Crain Communications. “It was truly exhilarating to see how the whole industry is coming together to reduce CO2 emissions, increase the mechanical and chemical recycling of polyurethanes, develop bio-based polyols and innovating to develop more sustainable solutions for automotive, construction, furniture, textiles, CASE and other applications.”
