On September 26, Comerio Ercole is opening a new assembly department and a new research and development laboratory at its headquarters in Busto Arsizio (near Varese). Together requiring an investment of around 3 million euros, they consist of a warehouse and two floors of office space, covering about 2500 and 300 square metres respectively. In particular, on the first floor there is the laboratory named in memory of Giorgio Marmonti, the company’s late CFO who died prematurely in 2013. Since 1990, he had worked with enthusiasm and professionalism, coordinating, among other things, many research and development projects thanks to which the laboratory itself came about.

Comerio Ercole has also undertaken an extensive programme of specific investments in capital goods. This programme, worth over 2 million euros, will be completed by the end of 2014. New equipment and innovative machinery will be introduced in the research and production area, allowing the company to increase its expertise and technical and technological know-how.

The opening of these new facilities, albeit coming at a time of financial, political and economic uncertainty for Italy, is intended to underline the company’s faith in the Italian manufacturing sector. By working with passion and determination in an increasingly complex international scenario and striving, every day, to reinvent itself, Comerio Ercole aims to keep its capacity for innovation and its competitiveness at the highest levels. The company expects to record a 2014 turnover of over 68 million euros; for several years now, over 75% of its turnover has been generated on the foreign markets, and on occasions in the past three years this share has even touched 95%.
