The two plants being tested at the Union factory in San Vittore Olona (near Milan), are destined for the markets of Central and South America.
The first line includes two single-screw extruders (a TR 130 and a TR 75 respectively) for the coextrusion of hollow sheeting made of EPP, with a working width of 2,500 mm and variable thickness of between 2 and 4 mm, and an output rate of approximately 550 kg/hour.
The second system comprises two double-screw extruders (ZP 112 X and ZP 58 X respectively) for the coextrusion of APET, PLA and PP sheet, with an operating width of 1,900 mm and variable thickness of between 0.15 and 1.3 mm, with an output rate of approximately 1,500 kg/hour.
