An open house organised by Bandera at its House of Extrusion closed its doors on  December 17. During the event, four fully equipped rigid film extrusion lines were simultaneously showcased in operation. All the lines featured inter-connectable 4.0 control systems and reduced power consumption.

An AlphaPET line for processing PET, PETG, CPET, PLA, PP, PS and organic resins destined for a vast range of applications was exhibited in a configuration for the production of PET and PLA rigid multilayer films with organic barrier, ranging up to 1450 mm. A possible use of this line is the production of coffee capsules.

For the production of multilayer films for lightweight packaging (under the Lighter Packaging brand)  a line was on display processing virgin and recycled materials such as PP and highly filled PP, PET and foamed and filled PET, compact and foamed PS for packaging applications.

A Condor Line with an in-line extrusion coating system for the production of multilayer technical rigid films made of different thermoplastic or biocompostable materials up to 11 layers was instead dedicated to industrial trials on innovative packaging materials. Condor Line is a real flat-die extrusion cell ready to process innovative and sustainable materials. The cell, available for sampling and testing, affords several benefits ranging from process optimization (time and energy savings) to performance improvement (physical, mechanical and optical properties of the films produced).

Lastly, the line-up also included a special flat-die extrusion line for the production of PO and EVA flexible sheet destined for waterproofing applications.
