The 24th international exhibition on plastics and rubber industries (CHINAPLAS 2010) opened on April 19 at the Shanghai new international Expo Centre, Pudong, Shanghai. The four-day exhibition, to be held until April 22, is expected to attract over 75,000 professional buyers to visit and source the latest chemical and raw materials as well as all kinds of plastics and rubber technologies.
For many years, CHINAPLAS 2010 has received the support of various sectors and industries, with sustained expansion of scale. Now it is universally recognized as Asia's No. 1 and the world's No. 3 international exhibition on plastics and rubber industries. This year, the exhibition scale reaches 150,000 sqm, which is 11% higher than its 2008 predecessor in Shanghai and gets a record high. The number of exhibitors has also surged by 18%, with over 2,100 exhibitors, showing high potential for the development of China's plastics and rubber industries. It is worth to underline the presence of several national pavillions including the Italian one with more than 50 exhibitors.
