On January 12 in Brussels at the European Rubber and Tyre Manufacturers' Association (ETRMA) took place the second meeting of SafeRubber European Project consortium (www.seferubber.eu) founded under the seventh Framework Programme. SafeRubber aims at identifying and formulating innovative and ecological accelerators, used in the production of synthetic rubber. In particular, the Consortium of research will develop, in 3 years of activities, a molecule capable to replace polychloroprene base ethylene thiourea (ETU), vulcanisation accelerator used in the production of synthetic rubbers.
Assocomaplast coordinates the project and is part of the Consortium of research together with other 12 members of six European countries (Belgium, Italy, Latvia, Norway, United Kingdom, Spain) representing 4 trade associations, 4 SMEs and 4 RTDs.
