The first six months of the year have witnessed the arrival of 3.839 million tons of plastic scrap in the ports of the People's Republic of China, marking an increase of 4% with respect to the same period in 2010.
The port of Guangzhou (Canton), with 29% of the total, holds the leading position in terms of quantities unloaded, as stated in the China Plastics Processing Industry Association's (CPPIA) report on the Chinese recycling industry.
