Interchangeable matrices and punches, a feature of moulds for PE pipe fittings designed by Marra, headquartered in Castelfidardo (Ancona, Italy), provide significant advantages. Punches are driven by internal hydraulic jacks, which makes it possible to reduce overall mould size and, as a consequence, those of the related injection moulding machine. This also minimises assembly and disassembly times.
Production changeover can be carried out directly on the machine by means of a hydraulic system for removing and inserting the different matrices.
