An automated system designed to assemble two injection moulded parts (a small frame with IML and a lid) which form the upper part of box for chewing tobacco has recently been installed by Star Automation Europe, based in Caselle di Santa Maria di Sala (Venezia, Italy), at the facility of a Polish processor.
An Uxe-1000 high speed robot is installed on each of the two injection machines comprising the production cell. The robot of the first press, devoted to the frame, picks 4 labels from the horizontal storage unit, places them into the mould and then picks the moulded parts and releases them onto a support, where they are fixed by jaws.
