A new hybrid version of the SMV-3 machine has recently been developed by Moss, based in Reggio Emilia (Italy), for screen printing and lacquering of up to 3 colours on capsules, syringes and tubes.
The printing machine can achieve a speed of 150 ppm and features a range of servo-motors that help the operator at the different settings, including regulation of the printing spatula by linear motor.
The machine is equipped with additional modules for heat printing and digital transfer,  replacing colour screen-printing and UV ovens. The combination of such modules responds to a particularly strong need for flexibility, for instance, in the decoration of cosmetic articles, where screen printing is frequently combined with hot printing.
