A training course on injection moulding and mould design began on 10 September at Cesap (Centre for the Development of Plastic Applications) facilities in Zingonia (Bergamo, Italy). The course was addressed to a group of Indian technicians from companies that produce moulded articles.
The program run through Friday, 14 September and provided lessons on theory complemented by practical exercises at Cesap facilities, as well as visits to Italian machine builders and converters.
The initiative enjoyed financial support from the Italian Ministry of Economic Development as part of a broader project "Machines Italia in India", promoting Italian technology - and not just that for plastics and rubber processing machines, but all technology represented by Federmacchine - in the huge India market, where Italian exports in the sector recorded an upsurge of 63% in 2011 over the previous year.
The Assocomaplast promotional and training initiatives continues in the week of September 17-22 with a program dedicated to a delegation of Jordanian entrepreneurs from the injection moulding, film extrusion, and pipe extrusion sectors. The course is organized by JEDCO  (Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation) as part of a project funded by the European Union for the development and modernization of the local manufacturing industry, including plastics converters.
