The PRO 400/100 horizontal injection unit, recently perfected by Presma for moulding rubber and solid silicone, features a four-column 400-ton, direct piston clamping unit. The machine is characterized by heated 700x700 mm mould-holder plates, with 600x600 mm space between columns, and a mobile plate with synchronized central and lateral extractors, with respective strokes of 100 and 350 mm. The maximum distance between plates is 750 mm, while the clamping stroke is 600 mm. The machine includes a FIFO (First In, First Out) dual cylinder, 1,000 cm3, fixed carriage injection unit, with inverter and gearbox-driven screw, achieving a specific pressure of 200 bar.
The machine is equipped with a dual temperature regulation loop for the plastification chamber and for the injection chamber and nozzle, with an extractable injection nozzle for easy cleaning. The injection stroke is controlled by a linear transducer. It is also possible to mount special feeder units for rubber in strips or silicone in blocks. A brush with electrical position and rotation regulation is used to clean the mould.
