The eighth international edition (thirteenth if we include the local editions) of the Iranplast tradeshow closed on Wednesday November 7. The event was held in Teheran from November 4 to 7 and attracted a good number of visitors, mostly from the local area and from the Middle East and Asia. Attendance at the third day of the fair, staged on a 35000 sqm metre fairgrounds (with 16000 sqm of stand space), was quite impressive (the organizers recorded 32000 total visitors).
Assocomaplast was the only direct representative of Europe. Participation by exhibitors and visitors from the West was practically nil, probably as a result of the embargo imposed on Iran, which makes it difficult to conclude deals with Iranian converters in spite of their growing interest in European technology.
