The extrusion lines manufactured by FAP between 2011 and 2012 for the production of expanded polyethylene films allow the user to obtain products with markedly improved quality and density characteristics compared with previous versions. The range of solutions offered by FAP makes it possible to reach output rates of between 50 and 1500 kg/h in the production of thick film and sheets.
Through these improvements, FAP aims to provide a technically advanced alternative to the low-cost machines delivered mainly by Eastern European competitors. On the basis of a careful study of screw profiles and extrusion heads, the company's researchers have managed to optimise the density and homogeneity of the foam cells. These enhancements will allow users to boost their profit margins by over 20% on average, while at the same time improving their end product quality.
