MC4-Motion Control For, an itinerant exhibition/conference devoted to motion control products and technologies, held in Bologna on March 5, provided Bosch Rexroth, as a guest at the sercos consortium stand, with an opportunity to unveil its most recent developments in the field of automation for industrial machines, which include plastic and rubber processing machines. The aim of the new solutions presented is to help manufacturers and users to simplify the integration of components, reduce costs, and manage machinery and equipment more efficiently, according to the different applications.
Rexroth, in particular, offers a full range of multi-tech controls and actuators which integrate with each other increasingly efficiently thanks to sercos real-time ethernet communication mechanisms. Today, there are over 1.7 million sercos interfaces for real-time communication installed the world over, and the interface is being used in an ever-increasing number of automation sectors. The third generation has recently been strengthened by the physical ethernet support and also features communication profiles for I/O devices and for functional safety, making it a universal bus for automation. Rexroth combines application know-how, specific for each individual sector, with scalable drive and control solutions guaranteeing precision of both hardware and software.
