At K 2013, Gavo Meccanica (hall 3, stand B33) will unveil its new TCRG 300 hybrid machine for cutting and joining the cores used in plastic film rolls. The equipment can cut cores made of any material, with outer diameters from 80 to 300 mm, without requiring blade changes. The patented joining system makes it possible to definitively eliminate waste and rationalise warehouse spaces, offering a solution to all problems related to waste and tube pre-cutting operations, and ensuring a quick return on investment.
Moreover, this model integrates another new feature: the "selectable" joining system, which enables the user to decide whether to carry out the film taping step. If the joining system is deactivated, therefore, this machine still generates waste which can be however re-used in subsequent processes after having reactivated the system, thus ensuring zero waste. The diameter change is completely automatic as well, and can be controlled from a touch screen.
Starting from the entry-level model, the TCRG machine offers the opportunity to install new features and automated devices, making it a completely automatic and full-optional solution. This allows the customers to buy the system at a low cost and upgrade it later. At the K 2013 exhibition, the TCAG (automatic), the TCMG (semi-automatic) and the new TCEG (manual) machines will be also shown live.
The main advantages offered in the core joining and cutting processes can be summarised as follows: elimination of production waste thanks to the patented joining system; cutting of cores made of different materials without changing blade or requiring any mechanical intervention; cutting of cores from 3 to 12 inches; automatic diameter change through a touch screen, also in this case without requiring any mechanical operation; top-quality 90° cutting with guaranteed tolerances ranging from ±0.1 to ±0.3 mm.
