Delia, an Italian machinery manufacturer and member of Assocomaplast, has joined the network of businesses guided by the Italian Technology Center (ITC), the first centre to promote the Italian machinery industry in India, with the backing of Assocomaplast and Ucimu-Sistemi per Produrre, the association of Italian manufacturers of machine tools, robots and automation systems. There are now 12 companies in the network, all operating in the plastics and rubber processing machinery and machine tool sector. They benefit from the support of the ITC in increasing and enhancing their presence in India: Delia, Tria, Buffoli Transfer, BLM, Giuseppe Giana, Istech, Losma, Millutensil, Omera, Produtech, Rosa and Streparava.
In operation since March 2013 from its headquarters in Pune, near Mumbai, the technological center is run by a team of Indian functionaries working in close coordination with the Italian associations promoting the initiative. Its activities include promotion both of the individual brands of its members and the ITC brand itself, development of new contacts with Indian institutions and with Indian culture, and initial post-sales service.
ITC is part of the tangible initiatives implemented by the Italian Ministry for Economic Development and by Federmacchine, the federation of Italian manufacturers of tools, machinery and operating assets, as part of the Machines Italia in India project developed to support businesses in making inroads into the Indian market, one of the most promising for the sector.
