The Assocomaplast board, at its meeting on September 25, approved the membership applications presented by Erhardt+Leimer, SMC Italia and Sandretto. Thus, the number of companies belonging to the Italian plastics and rubber processing machinery and moulds manufacturers' association has risen to 166.
The associated members Erhardt+Leimer and SMC Italia are both “new entry” in Assocomaplast. The former is based in Stezzano (near Bergamo) and produces inspection and monitoring systems and components for conveyor belts, while the latter, headquartered in Carugate (near Milan), manufactures components for industrial automation.
Sandretto has returned to the association’s ranks following the events it has gone through in recent years. This injection moulding machine manufacturer was recently taken over by a group of Italian and foreign entrepreneurs, who have transferred company’s headquarters to its historical facilities in Pont Canavese (near Turin).
