Italian manufacturer Syncro has acquired a majority shareholding in Plasmac, a UK based worldwide player in recycling machinery for both blown and cast film. Plasmac produces innovative products ranging from pneumatic edge-trim conveying systems, edge-trim recycling machines for both blown and cast line where scrap reels can be fed simultaneously if required to three ranges of off-line recycling machinery which, when coupled with the comprehensive range of infeed systems allow the company to supply a turn-key solution for virtually any application. Plasmac’s products line complements Syncro’s vision to continue to maintain the standard to meet its customers’ expectations.
“Plasmac, founded in 1993, with its vast experience in supplying both standard and turnkey recycling solution for the plastics industry creates an exciting partnership for all of us”, said Gabriele Caccia, CEO of Syncro. “We are very excited to bring Plasmac to our global customer base via our world network of subsidiaries including Syncro Deutschland, Syncro Usa, Syncro Latina, and Syncro Asia”, Caccia added.
“This move will be good for Plasmac, using the Syncro sales network will open up markets in areas that, to date, have not been easily accessible and also enable the company to expand its supplier base into Europe. The partnership with Syncro will take it further and release the potential within the company and take the business to a new level. Moreover, there will be no outward change in the company, all existing staff will be retained and plans are in hand to further increase staffing levels”, said Dave Thomas, Plasmac president.
