From September 28 to 30, CMS opened the doors of its Zogno plant (Bergamo), set in the charming Val Brembana area, for an event that provided the company with an opportunity to exhibit its most recent and innovative range of thermoforming machines and CNC cells for the processing of plastic semi-finished goods.
Numerous people, including processors and reporters, took part over the three days of the event, to the great satisfaction of the entire management team, starting with CEO Davide Masnada, who highlighted the positive results recorded over the past year, underlining that several leading German processors, which traditionally look to local technology providers, are now starting to turn to CMS.
The company’s strong performance is also reflected in its recent acquisition of a 27 thousand square metre facility from the former weaving company MVB (Manifattura Valle Brembana) in a deal worth 2.2 million euros. The conversion of this site into a metalworking facility, due to be completed by the end of 2017, will require an overall investment of 9 million euros, and will obviously have positive repercussions for employment rates in the area.
The event was a chance to see the new BR5 thermoforming machines in action during pressure forming and vacuum thermoforming tests, as well as demonstrations of thermoformed piece cutting with the Atom machining centre. Some of the new developments seen will also be presented during the forthcoming K fair in Düsseldorf, where the company will be sharing the exhibition space of its Rimini headquartered parent company, the SCM Group, which builds technologically advanced solutions for the processing of a wide range of materials.
