At the twenty-first Plastpol, being held at the Kielce Exhibition & Conference Centre from May 23 to 26, Negri Bossi, together with its local agent NTQ, will be showing the all-electric 180-630 machine, featuring a clamping force of 180 tonnes, producing a ping pong bat.

The machine is injecting the body in a PBT material from the main 45mm plasticising unit, while an electric injection unit will be feeding a soft TPU handle. One of the bat faces will be moulded in a foamed LSR to produce the ‘spongier’ side of the bat, while the firmer face will be in a standard LSR material. Both the LSR materials are injected directly into the mould from a dosing unit equipped with a special technology for foam microcellular moulding. The machine will feature an Esistampi mould and a 6 axis Sytrama robot.

The Italian manufacturer will exhibit also a 250 tonne Canbio ST servo hydraulic machine, moulding a polystyrene drinking glass in a four-cavity mould manufactured by New Tresing Stampi. The machine is equipped with two Sytrama robots: the S9 model will remove the glasses from the mould, while the S10 model will take and fill them, to demonstrate the accuracy and stability of the robots.
