On June 6 and 7, WM Thermoforming Machines will hold an open house event at its headquarters in Stabio (Switzerland), in order to showcase the new Flex 92 steel-rule-knife thermoforming machine and the latest version of the Twist 700 model: two machines able to respond to the fast-changing market trends and to reduce the environmental impact of production processes thanks to the use of different recycled and biodegradable polymers.

The event will take place simultaneously with a parallel open house at Bandera’s headquarters, in Busto Arsizio (Varese, Italy), which will give both the manufacturers the opportunity to show how their respective thermoforming and extrusion lines can be connected to each other to process new formulations, starting from recycled materials through to the final thermoformed products.

The Flex 92 machine will manufacture egg trays using 830 mm wide sheets made of PET, X-PET foam and bio-based material, thermoformed by using a 6-cavity mould supplied by FFK. On the other hand, the Twist 700 machine will produce yogurt cups with a diameter of 75 mm, starting from 610 mm wide sheets made of polypropylene, X-PET and bio-based material, thermoformed with a 22-cavity mould supplied by Termostampi.
