Tecnomatic heads on Inoex Advantage lines
The German firm Inoex turned to the Italian manufacturer Tecnomatic for the supply of extruders and extruder heads to equip their Advantage lines for pipe diameters of up to 1000 mm. The two companies have already presented a line equipped with a Vega extruder and a Venus 630 head for pipes with diameters from 280 to 500 mm to major European converters.
Automation of size changes translates into flexibility and profitability of the line, essential requirements in the manufacture of pipe with medium or large diameters meeting rapid delivery times demanded by today’s market. To produce smaller batches of pipes profitably it is necessary to reduce scrap during the line startup phase. Fast size changeovers and reduction in startup scrap offer potential cost reductions.
Advantage technology makes it possible to change pipe dimensions in just a few minutes with the simple push of a button. The accessories that are normally needed for this operation can be eliminated and the line is never stopped. All components involved in size change - such as the vacuum calibrating tank, the calipers, the pipe supports in the tank and the seals - adapt automatically to the new production run on the basis of the values entered into the line control unit.
