CEN/TC 145 plenary meeting

The plenary meeting of the European Technical Committee CEN/TC 145 (whose secretariat as well as chairmanship are managed by Assocomaplast) took place in Milan on September 16 and 17. Delegates from French, German, Italian, Swiss and the UK standardization bodies attended the meeting.

Such Committee, which releases safety standards for plastics and rubber machines, is subdivided in 14 Working Groups. Currently 3 are active for the revision of harmonized standards on blade granulators and shredders, and internal mixers and calenders, whereas 2 will be reactivated in 2015 for the study of safety standards on haul-offs and reaction moulding plant. Moreover, within the first months in 2015 CEN will publish standards on two roll mills and tyre curing machines.
