The augmented reality helps deliver plants in the age of industry 4.0
During the K2016 trade fair, held in Dusseldorf from 19 to 26 October, besides the presentation of several innovative machines and accessories in the field of plastic and rubber processing, Comerio Ercole presents as a worldwide exclusive, a new system helping processors to best arrange their production departments before complete calendering plants are installed inside them. Thanks to the augmented reality, this new system reliably reproduces in advance the facility as it will appear after the ordered plants will have been installed, and makes it possible for an operator to “enter" as 3D virtual mode into it and directly verify the lay out, the footprints, the functionality, etc. As a result, he will be able to avoid any potential difference between the project and the implemented plant, identifying in advance the best modes for mechanical assembly as well electrical and fluidic wiring, as well as maintenance procedures. This makes it possible to promptly perform the changes and improvements required, thus saving much time and implementation costs.
It is a unique tool, directly aiming at Industry 4.0 and opening a new front in technology delivering, while avoiding all that costly inconveniences often arising during the installation or operation of complex and expensive plants.
