Softer turns to IMCD for South Africa

On the basis of the existing partnership for the Benelux countries, Softer, Italian compound manufacturer working on a global scale, has awarded IMCD exclusive distribution of its products in South Africa. The agreement marks the efforts by the Italian company to become actively involved with the South African market, where the distributor will seek to expand its presence  thanks to a product portfolio that includes thermoplastic elastomers - with the vulcanized Forprene (TPV) and styrene-based TPE, as well as a broad range of reinforced polypropylenes, polyamides, ABS and other engineered polymers.
"IMCD offers a highly qualified service providing complete logistics, commercial and technical support to the client. We have worked with IMCD in Benelux for many years and we are quite happy with this new agreement for South Africa. Last, but not least, it will allow us to further expand our distribution network, in keeping with our strategic objective of being a global supplier," stated Riccardo Meucci, Softer global commercial director.
Darryl Bunyan, IMCD South Africa plastics division director adds, "Thanks to this collaboration with one of the most important compound producers such as Softer, we can offer our clients a range of products and technological solutions that are unparalleled on the South African market. This will give us the opportunity to develop new and complex projects and to provide tailor-made solutions for each client."
